May of glory

Despite the surging Covid19 cases and the war in Ukraine, we made it to May 2022! Finally, Turin and Piedmont are ready for their month of international glory!

After two seasons of "An Astrological Guide for Broken Hearts" that has given the world's viewers a tase of our Turin vibes and atmospheres, finally on May 1 Stanley Tucci's "Searching For Italy" season 2 is starting and... guess what?!!

Turin will be in episode 2 on Sunday, May 8th.

Piazza Vittorio, largest square in Europe with Villa della Regina and the Gran Madre cathedral

Back in November 2021, it was the very first time for Stanley in Turin and like all visitors, he was completely spellbound by our city's intense history, luscious foods and rich wines. He came without many expectations to film his episode and he left with the idea of coming back for more!

Despite his familiarity with Italy, our refined local specialties amazed him and our wines had a total new dimension to the local flavors.
He loved Turin's neat architecture and her paced rhythm. A big difference from the eternal buzzing of Naples and hectic Rome he is not such a big fan of.

But that's not all!!

Mika, Alessandro Cattelan and Laura Pausini will host the ESC2022 in Turin

On May 10-14th, Turin is hosting the 66th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest!

That week Turin will literally be 'l'ombelico del mondo' or the navel of the world!! All our hotels are booked up as well as our restaurants: a dream come true for such an unpromoted AND underrated destination. Not to mention the big economical void left by the pandemic.

Many of our online followers are Turin bound to enjoy la crème de la crème of European music and this year we'll also see 40 countries represented, the highest number, joining us from far beyond the EU borders.

For this magic opportunity, we can only sing along Turin's group Eugenio in Via di Gioia: 'Thank you, Maneskin, Eurovision in Turin' because indeed we all feel like when the prince can finally fit the crystal slipper to Cinderella's tiny foot. A real dream come true.

Amici, if you can't make it over in May, don't worry! Turin and Piedmont are waiting for you all year long! We're not disappearing on May 15th or on May 29th...

In fact, our 4 distinct seasons make of Turin a special destination with different flavors, events and weather! We are connected to all the major European airports so you can conveniently fly over from wherever you are, look up TRN - our airport code.

2022 also means we'll have the "Food UN convention" or the 14th edition of the Slow Food Terra Madre Salone del Gusto on September 22-26, plus many more festivals and events to take part to

  • MiTo if you are into classical music in September
  • View Conference if you love VFX, gaming, computer graphics in October
  • Cioccola TO the sweetest fest in the world for the Halloween break!
  • Torino Film Fest in November-December
These are just a few of our 2022 and usual events, as we def have far many more spanning from contemporary dance to art, techno music to ATP finals, electronic music to our gorgeous opera season and the winter lights on all over Turin downtown from November 1 to mid January 2023.

And naturally we have plenty of cool museums to visit, royal coffee shops to give you a taste of our vida royal, restaurants and bistros to pig out on, cocktails and wines to savor and gelaterias where you'll restore your energies!
